What is ferulic acid, and what does it do?
Ferulic acid is an antioxidant. It helps protect against sun damage, and may reduce the production of melanin (pigment) in the skin, improving the appearance of hyperpigmentation (dark patches of skin). It works well when combined with Vitamin C and Vitamin E, as it helps to stabilise these ingredients and improve sun protection.
